Thank you all for a great night All of my friends and family coming together for a great cause and having fun together was awesome. Kids' Mile Course Map

It's getting real!

This week we received our yard signs and placed them all over Elburn, Maple Park, Sugar Grove, Kaneville and West Aurora. Thank you to True Knack Graphics! They look great! Be on the lookout for them!

Also, this week we picked up a lot of the refreshments for the race. We currently have 240 water bottles on our dining room table, and lots of granola bars. I can't even begin to tell you how many glowsticks and how much reflective tape we have as well. Seeing all of it there makes it all seem very real! I can't wait!

Online Volunteer Sign-Up!

Ask and you shall receive! Many of you have asked how you can volunteer at the Flashlight 5K, and I am thankful for that because we need your help! Today, Coach Clarey, my mom, and I toured the course together to figure out the volunteer positions on and off the course. We then made an online sign-up with all of the positions described. Welcoming War on Wheels home!

Today we got to cheer on our friend, Megan Sporny, as she join in the last 8 mile leg of the 2,499 mile War on Wheels! Cal's Angels organized this amazing ride down Rt. 66 to bring awareness to childhood cancer. I am proud of all the warriors we saw today, and would like to support them in any way we can. I was also able to meet with Stacey Skjoldager, one of the founders of Cal's Angels. I'm so thankful for her support of the Flashlight 5K. Only 12 more days! Please continue to spread the word! It'll be a fun night and together we'll help kids that need our support!

I can't thank you enough.

One of the things I've been struck with as I was gathering donations for my project was how many people's lives have been touched by cancer. And maybe because of that, so many people have been willing to help. Thanks to everyone for supporting my project, whether it's through encouragement, advice, spreading the word, advertising, loaning supplies, In-kind and monetary donations.
